MI to NY, Oh My!

RN: Since our next stop is Niagara Falls, NY, you’d think it would be easy- just go due east from Ann Arbor through Detroit to Niagara Falls, right? WRONG! We don’t have our passports, and just east of Detroit you run into the Canadian Border, and you have to travel through Canada to get to Buffalo/ Niagara. So we had to take a 100 mile detour through Ohio, Pennsylvania, and finally, to New York.

Here are sunflowers in Ohio…a nice break from the fields and fields of corn and soybean we have been seeing across the midwest.

FE: On the way to Niagara we drive right through Cleveland

and Buffalo..pretty impressive skylines

and, after almost 400 miles, across the Niagara River

we are rewarded with a pretty spectacular view from our hotel room

Finally, Rae finds this gastropub with beaucoup taps of great beers

and I have a venison burger extraordinaire
